What We Do?

We focus on three key areas when it comes to special education:

  • Numeracy
  • Literacy
  • Functional academics

Our teachers and support staff make use of individualized instruction and specialized techniques specifically tailored to the student’s unique learning needs. This includes using variety of materials and methods to help students develop these skills, including visual aids, technology, and multisensory approaches.

Our three areas of focus are;

Numeracy

It refers to the ability to understand and work with numbers, mathematical concepts, and mathematical reasoning. Hands-on activities, visual aids, and other techniques are utilized to help students with disabilities to understand mathematical concepts.

Literacy

This focuses on the ability to read, write, and comprehend written language. Literacy is crucial for communication and learning across all subjects, and in special education, it is taught through a variety of methods such as phonics, sight words, and comprehension strategies.

Functional Academics

We focus on the practical skills that individuals need to function in daily life, such as using a calendar, and telling time. These skills are taught to help students with disabilities become more independent and self-sufficient.
